Building a creative and inspired community
Arts and Education
The AP Foundation envisions a world where the arts and education enrich lives, foster creativity, and bring communities together. By supporting artists, students, and cultural initiatives, the Foundation is dedicated to nurturing growth, dialogue, and inspiration across generations.
Concerts
AP Foundation concerts bring classical music to life through exceptional performances and cultural exchange. With a special interest in Korean repertoire and collaborations, these events showcase both emerging and established artists, creating meaningful experiences for audiences.
SoriDari Young Artists
SoriDari, meaning “sound bridge,” brings together 15–18 year-old Korean and Korean-American musicians with seasoned professional artists to rehearse and perform classical and contemporary chamber music as equal partners. Instead of the traditional teacher–student hierarchy, SoriDari fosters true collaboration, helping young artists gain confidence, expand their networks, and grow as colleagues in the wider musical community.
Scholarships
Since its inception in 2012, the AP Foundation has awarded more than $200,000 in scholarships to international students from South Korea and local university students in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Over the years, this has benefited numerous students, with 5-12 new recipients each year receiving $3000 towards their college education.
